Optometrist near Cartierville, in the same borough

Cartierville and PrimeVision are in the same borough, Ahuntsic-Cartierville, but the clinic is not in Cartierville. It is to the east, at 9520 Boulevard de l'Acadie, Suite 222, near Marché Central, about 5.7 km away. Boulevard Gouin and Boulevard de l'Acadie link the two, by car or by bus, with no metro needed. People from Bordeaux-Cartierville, families and seniors alike, can have their eye exam, choose their glasses and come back for follow-up in one place.

Getting here from Cartierville

By bus

Two STM buses do it. Take the 79 East at the Gouin / Lachapelle stop to De l'Acadie / De Salaberry (about 9 minutes). At the same corner, take the 179 South to the De l'Acadie / De Louvain stop, about a one-minute walk from the clinic (85 m). On October 30, 2026, on a weekday afternoon, Google Maps gave about 36 minutes in total, including the wait at the transfer. Check the day's schedule in the STM trip planner to shorten that wait.

By car

The fastest route used Boulevard Gouin and then Boulevard de l'Acadie: 5.7 km, about 17 minutes. Via Rue Grenet and Boulevard Henri-Bourassa West, allow about 19 minutes. Autoroute 15 South is longer (9.6 km) for a similar time, about 18 minutes. Parking at the clinic is free.

An appointment close to home, in the same borough

The De l'Acadie / De Louvain stop is almost at the door, which helps people who find walking harder. For seniors, the eye exam is a good time to check eye health; we offer glaucoma screening with OCT imaging. For children, exams start at age 4, on Saturdays too.

RAMQ and insurance

RAMQ covers eye exams for children under 18 and adults 65 and over. For adults 18 to 64, the exam is generally not covered by RAMQ, with some exceptions; private insurance may reimburse all or part of it, depending on your plan, and we bill most major insurers directly. Full details: eye exam coverage.
