Optometrist near Outremont, up Boulevard de l'Acadie
There is no PrimeVision clinic in Outremont. We are at 9520 Boulevard de l'Acadie, Suite 222, near Marché Central, about 5 km to the north. What connects Outremont to us is Boulevard de l'Acadie. Google Maps uses it for the drive, and bus 179 follows it from Acadie metro station, one stop from Outremont on the blue line. Families in the area can have parents' and children's eyes examined on the same day and pick out glasses on site.
Getting here from Outremont
By public transit
At Outremont station, take the blue line toward Saint-Michel and get off at Acadie, the next station. Then take STM bus 179 North, which runs up Boulevard de l'Acadie to the De l'Acadie / De Louvain stop, about a 2-minute walk from the clinic. On October 30, 2026, on a weekday afternoon, Google Maps gave about 42 minutes in total, about 22 of them on the bus. Check the day's schedule in the STM trip planner before you go.
By car
Along Boulevard de l'Acadie the drive was 5.1 km and took about 20 minutes. Chemin Rockland took about the same time over 7.3 km. Once there, you can use the clinic's free parking, with no need to hunt for a spot on the street.
For Outremont children
Our optometrists examine children from age 4. An exam before starting school is a good checkpoint, even if your child has no complaints. If your child becomes nearsighted, we offer myopia control follow-up. Saturday appointments help parents who work during the week.
RAMQ and your insurance
RAMQ covers eye exams for children under 18 and adults 65 and over. For adults 18 to 64, the exam is generally not covered by RAMQ, with some exceptions; private insurance may reimburse all or part of it, depending on your plan, and we bill most major insurers directly. See our eye exam coverage page.
